RED

RED is a movie about a former black ops agent whose life was being threatened by high tech assassins. This movie is approximately 111 minutes long and is Action/Comedy/Crime. Frank Moses had a peaceful life until he was threatened to be killed. He didn't take anytime he rushed to pull together his old team in order to survive and uncover is assailants. His every move was being tracked he had to kidnap a girl he began falling for so they do not kill her.

This movie was quite funny and highly compacted with action. I enjoyed watching it, this movie would be a total guy show. I recommend to anyone who loves action movies and a little bit of comedy. I do not recommend this to anyone who does not like crime or action. This movie would have to be rated a B+

Tangled

Tangled is about a girl named Rapunzel with magical hair, she has spent her entire life in a tower. Once a theif stumbles acrossed her she finally explores the world and finds out who she really is. This movie is approximatly 100 minutes and is a Comedy/ Family/ Animation. Rapunzel was stolen away ffrom her parents who were the king and queen, she was stolen by a old witch because her hair was magical and kept the witch young. Rapunzel was kept in a tower for eighteen years because her mother (the witch) told her that it was to dangerous for her to leave the tower. Once a thief comes across the tower and finds her she decides that he must take her to see the lanterns that come out each night on her birthday before he gets back the crown he stole. She then explores the wilderness and begins falling in love with the thief. Then she finally finds out whom she really is.

This movie was extremely good! I enjoyed every minute of it, it made me chuckle and smile a lot. I would recommend this movie to everyone it is a good family movie. I would not recommend this to anyone who does not like animated movie or fairy tales. I would have to rate this movie a A+ because it was that good!

Megamind

Megamind is about a supervillain who finally conquers his enemy Metro Man and later finds out his life is pointless with out a hero to fight. This movie is approximately 95 minutes long and is a Animation/ Comedy/ and Action film. Megamind and Metro Man were sent to earth by their unknown parents on another planet. Coming to earth they were constantly competing to be better then one another but Metro Man was to great to beat. As they grew up Megamind turned into the evil villain and Metro Man was the town hero. Finally Megamind caught Metro Man and conquered him finally winning a battle and taking over the town. As time goes on Megamind has no one to fight against and finds out life is pointless for him. So he then designs a experiment to make another hero and once that is put into someone everything Megamind planned turned wrong.

I think this movie was very funny and adorable. I love kid movie and animation so this one was a very good one to watch. I recommend this movie for everyone who loves kid movies, this is a very good family movie to watch. I do not recommend this movie to anyone who dislikes animation movies. I would have to rate this movie as a A+ i just absolutely loved it. =]

Due Date

Due Date is about Peter Highman a father to be is forced to catch a ride with aspiring actor Ethan Tremblay on a trip in order to make it to his child's birth. This movie is approximately 95 minutes long and is a comedy/ drama. Things go straight down hill for Peter Highman when he meets Ethan Tremblay at the airport. He is forced off of his flight because Ethan got everyone believing he could possibly be a terrorist. When Peter looses all his bags on the flight that left with out him he has no money to rent a car. Ethan Tremblay offers him a ride because he is on his way to Los Angeles to be interviewed for a movie. Peter has no other choice but to take the ride. Peter and Ethan go through many problems and fights before making it to Los Angeles.

This Movie in my opinion is very hilarious. I love how high strung Peter is and how Ethan is always trying to do good but just ends up ruining Peter's life more. There are many funny parts of this movie and i laughed quite alot. I would recommened this movie for 16 and up and people who enjoyed The Hang Over and Hot Tub Time Machine. I would not recommened this movie to anyone who did not enjoy those movies or like comedy's but i would have to rate this movie as a A+

Splice

Splice is about to scientists who conduct an experiment, when they‘re told to stop it they don’t. This movie is approximately 104 minutes long and is a Sci-Fi/Thriller/Drama.  Two scientists conduct an experiment to form an animal/human. They take each gene and splice them together. When the corporation tells them to stop the experiment they do not listen to them. The experiment is born and has features of both animal and human. They end up raising this experiment and thinking of it as their own child. The experiment grows quickly and many things are found out about it the more it grows up.

I have really no idea what to think of this movie. It was pretty good but at the same time was not my favorite. It was interesting watching how it grew up but when its grown things just are weird. I would not recommend this to anyone who does not like scientific based movies. I would rate this movie as a B-.

You Again

You Again is about a young woman who finds out that her brother is going to be marrying her worst enemy who bullied her in high school. She sets out to show her brother his fiancé’s true self. This movie is approximately 105 minutes and it is a Comedy/ Romance. Marni a young woman who was bullied and harassed by Joanna in high school found out that her brother was going to be marrying her. She wanted her brother to see the real Joanna. Joanna denied knowing who Marni was, but once Marni found out that she did really know who she was, the fight was on to prove her brother who Joanna really is. Gail, Marni’s mom, tried helping Marni get over the past but once Joanna’s aunt Ramona comes into town Gail Goes on the fight. Ramona is Gail’s ex best friend who now is a very wealthy woman. Gail believes Ramona came to town just to rub it into Gail’s face that she is now on top.

This movie is very funny. I enjoyed watching it a lot. Especially when it went back and forth between the arguments. I would recommend this to anyone who likes comedies. I would not recommend this to anyone who likes chick flics. I would have to rate this movie a B+ it was a pretty good movie.

Remember Me

Remember Me is about the life of two new lovers. Tyler’s parents split up after his brother commits suicide and Ally lives her life to the fullest after witnessing her mom being murdered. This movie is approximately 113 minutes long and it a Romance/ Drama. Tyler lives a difficult life always trying to be there for his little sister since his father doesn’t try any longer. After his older brother committed suicide the family break’s apart. Tyler gets into a lot of trouble after back talking a cop. His roommate later finds out the cop they had problems with has a daughter and convinces Tyler to take her out. Ally watched her mother get murdered in a subway station when she was 11. When she finally allows Tyler to take her out they become more attached then what they were expecting.

My opinion on this movie is that it is a big tear jerker. I enjoyed watching it a lot though, it had some really amusing parts. This is one of those movies that when you watch it you put your life into its perspective and it effects the way you want to live your life. I would rate this movie an A, I also think Robert Pattison is a way better actor in this movie then he is in the twilight saga movies because he can be more himself. The ending of this movie is also really un expecting and very tragic. I would recommend anyone who likes romantic movies to watch this. But if you don’t then I would not recommend this for you.

Paranormal Activity 2

Paranormal Activity 2 consists of a family who experiences a series of break in’s, at least that’s what they believe. After setting up cameras they catch more than they were expecting. This movie is approximately 91 minutes and is a horror/thriller/mystery. Once Hunter was born mysteries events begin to happen. The house had been trashed but nothing was missing. The family sat up surveillance cameras all over the house to try to catch who was disturbing their home. Many things began to occur that were unexplainable, but everything led to have effect on their son hunter. The daughter came to believe that Hunter is the first born male in the blood line and there was a demon coming after him to take him. This was a curse on this family because a great great grandmother made a deal with the demon. What happens to the family once they find out this was not an actual person disturbing them?

This movie in my opinion is so much better than the first one! I actually got a thrill out of watching this one unlike the first one. I recommend this movie to anyone who likes thrilling movies. I do not recommend this movie to little kids. This movie would have to be rated as a A. if you did not like the first one I bet you will like this one, even if it’s not by much!

Let Me In

Let me in is about a young boy who is bullied in school and becomes friends with a young girl who is a vampire that keeps her life secret with her guardian. This movie is approximately 116 minutes long and is a horror/drama/fantasy movie. Owen a twelve year old young boy whose parents are going through a divorce is bullied constantly at school. He has no friends and his mother is a religious alcoholic and his father is never there for him. One day new neighbors arrive and he meets a girl named Abby. She distinctively tells him they cannot be friends. As time passes they grow closer making things more dangerous. Abby’s guardian also her lover must go out and kill people for blood to feed her so she does not attack on her own. He ends up giving himself up to her because he failed to get her blood, and he knew she was beginning to fall for Owen. Then Owen finds out the truth about Abby, will he leave the one person who cares about him because of what she is?

It’s hard to explain what I think about this movie. It was quite different I must say. Apart of me really liked this movie because you’re constantly finding out new things which kept me interested. But the other part just thought it was all so weird. I recommend this movie to teenagers who like vampire, love story movies. It’s nothing like twilight don’t worry. I don’t recommend this to people who dislike horror, vampire, and fantasy movies. I guess I would rate this movie a B.

Saw 3D

Saw 3D is about a bunch of deadly battles continuing after Jigsaw’s cruel legacy. A group of Jigsaw’s last victims whom survived go to a fellow survivor who is a self-help guru, whose dark secrets release more terror. This movie is approximately 90 minutes long and is horror/mystery/crime movie. Jigsaw is a criminal who sets traps to try to teach people lessons in their life on what they have done wrong. If the person survives their trap they have learned their lesson. Jigsaw died in the end of Saw 3 and other people lived on his legacy. In this movie Bobby Dagen lives a lie stating he is a survivor of Jigsaw’s traps. He is a self-help guru who is trying to get other survivors to tell their stories. Well there is one person who knows the truth and Bobby is punished for his lies and is put into a cruel trap.

I thought this movie was alright. I would have to say it’s not as good as the original one. It is still gruesome like the rest and is one of those movies that if you are not good with blood and guts, don’t eat before or while you’re watching it. I would not recommend this for kids under fifteen just because it’s gruesome and is vulgar. Also if you disliked the other Saw movies then there is a big possibility you’re not going to like this one either. I recommend this to people who have enjoyed them and who likes killing and bloody movies. This is said to be the end of the Saw movies. The end, like all of the rest, kind of have me thinking if it’s really going to be the last movie.

The Last Exorcism

The Last Exorcism is about this minister who lets a documentary crew film his last exorcism. This movie is approximately 87 minutes long and is a horror/thriller movie. Patrick Fabian plays Reverend Cotton Marcus who is trying to prove to everyone that exorcisms are not real. That it is all in the head of the person portraying a demon. He randomly chooses a letter and goes there to perform a fake exorcism. Nell Sweetzer is the one possessed with the demon. Rev. Cotton Marcus preforms his fake exorcism on Nell and things just get worse after that. More killings begin and her behavior changes drastically.

I think this movie was good, I must say it was way scarier in theaters. The beginning of the movie is just boring. I would say that toward the end there were a couple scarier parts but some that were just pointless. I would not recommend to younger kids do to vulgar language and sexual gestures. I would recommend if you are looking for a semi scary show. But I don’t want to put this movie down to terribly because I have seen worse so I guess this movie deserves at least a B B+.

Despicable Me

Despicable Me is about a mastermind criminal who adopts three children and uses them to go through with a grand scheme, but later slowly changes as love grows between them. This movie is approximately 95 minutes and is an animation/comedy/family movie. Steve Carell is the voice of Gru the mastermind criminal and he comes up with a genius plan to shrink the moon and to steal it. He begins having disputes with Vector who is another criminal who is interfering with Gru’s plan. Then Gru comes up with adopting the three little girls Margo, Edith, and Agnes to get into Vectors home so he can proceed with his master plan. As Gru grows closer to the children his love for them grows also.

This movie in my opinion is so adorable!! I loved watching it so much that I just had to watch it twice, it was so great. I would recommend this movie to everyone! Especially families, this would be a cute movie to watch together. I don’t recommend this movie to anyone who does not like kid movies because they would dislike this movie very much. Please take the time to watch this movie I promise you will not be disappointed. =]

Easy A

Easy A is about a high school student who lets the school’s rumors advance her financially and socially. This movie is approximately 92 minutes long and is a Comedy/Romance. Emma Stone the main character also known as Olive Penderghast tells a little white lie about how she had lost her virginity, this little lie spread throughout the school like wild fire. Soon Olive began to see her life following Hester Prynne’s in the “Scarlet Letter” a book she was studying in school. She took full responsibility for making this reputation for herself.

This movie in my opinion is very hilarious and is a very good movie for the teenage age. I don’t recommend younger children under the age of 14 to be watching this. It is a very sexually filled movie and has quite a lot of vulgar language. I most likely recommend it to high school students because they can put the movie into their point of view and understand what most of the students in their school do to themselves to become more popular. But if you do not enjoy watching movies that deal with vulgar language or sexual gestures then I do not recommend this for you. If you watch this movie I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. =]
